The DRC has set up a system for collecting data on sexual and gender-based violence. The programme has led to the development of a manual of procedures for data collection, the training of more than 300 service providers in data collection, the creation of communication spaces to strengthen data entry and the provision of IT equipment to coordination structures in the provinces of North Kivu and Ituri to help make data and information on SGBV available. A database with an online application enables automatic management and access by all stakeholders, and helps to strengthen evidence-based advocacy and policy dialogue.
